Domain Lock

Domain lock prevents your domain from being transfered. This is a security feature intended to help protect your domain from "highjackers". If you want to transfer your domain out to another registrar, you must first unlock it. By default, domains registered with 10Dollar.ca are automatically locked.

1. Log-in with your profile
2. Click on My Domains
3. Under My Domains, select the domain that you want to view or change the Lock information for.
4. Click on "Change Domain Lock Status" link.
5. You can turn Domain Locking "On" or "Off", when you are done, click "Update"

Result:

1. Your domain's Lock information has been updated.
2. This is a realtime process that should happen immediately.

Notes:

When you click "Update" your changes will take effect immediately. If you choose to unlock your domain name to make changes, we strongly recommend re-locking your domain name once the changes have been made.
